The Psilocybin Facilitator Program

You are welcome to train with us wherever you are in the world. The skills we teach are universal, can be applied to the use of different psychedelics and are helpful for the integration of non-ordinary states of consciousness that do not involve psychedelics at all.

However, our program is specifically preparing its participants for the State of Oregon Licensure, which is reserved to the residents of Oregon. If you are not a resident of this state, you will not be able to apply for an official license, nor will you be allowed to practice in Oregon.

Your ability to work with plant medicine is strictly governed by your local jurisdiction and though things are slowly changing around the world, the use of psilocybin for therapeutic purposes (outside of clinical trials) is deemed illegal in the majority of countries at the time of writing.

In short, yes. Our training is open to people with varying degrees of experience with and knowledge of psychedelics. In fact, we believe that a diverse cohort of trainees contributes to vivid and constructive discussions and an opportunity to learn from one another. The admission requirements for our program are as follows:

• Successful completion of our thorough application form
• Satisfactory medical history and health questionnaire (our program includes administration of psilocybin as an essential part of the training)
• Payment of a $150 non-refundable application fee
• Successful online interview

For those who are interested in becoming a licensed State of Oregon psilocybin facilitator, there is an additional set of requirements for the State of Oregon's licensure. At the time of writing, they are as follows:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Being a resident of the State of Oregon (this requirement will expire in 2025)
• Successfully completing an authorised State of Oregon training program (such as ours)
• Successfully passing a criminal background check
• Must pass an exam administered by Oregon Psilocybin Services.

Absolutely not. Our training offers an in-depth preparation to safely hold space for a Psilocybin-asssisted journey. However, your ability to legally work with the plant medicine is strictly governed by your local jurisdiction. At the time of writing, the use of psilocybin (medicinally or recreationally) is deemed illegal in most jurisdictions around the world.

In the State of Oregon, the Oregon Health Authority began accepting applications for Psilocybin Service Facilitator licenses on January 2, 2023. In order to become a licensed facilitator  and legally facilitate journeys in the State of Oregon, you will have to:

1. Complete an authorised facilitator training program (such as ours)
2. Satisfy the State of Oregon's facilitator requirements
3. Successfully pass the State of Oregon's licensure exam.

Though our training will thoroughly cover the entirety of the material required for the licensure exam, it does not guarantee any exam result.

• The tuition fee is $9800
• The tuition fee covers the full online program and course materials. The price excludes the travel, board and accommodation costs of the two in-person residential retreats.
• A non-refundable application fee of $150 will be required from all applicants upon submission of your application

Once we receive our HECC approval, we will offer monthly payment plans to support those who cannot commit to the full amount in a single payment.

We have a limited number of scholarships to support underprivileged and Indigenous communities. We believe that the medicine should be available and affordable to all those who need it and this is our small contribution to this vision.

Retreats are held at Jackson Wellsprings, a historic mineral hot springs, campground,
and events center located in Ashland, Oregon.

The first residential retreat will take place from May 20 to May 27, 2024. The second residential retreat will take place from Oct 7 to Oct 14, 2024.

The cost of accommodation and board of this retreat will not be covered by the tuition fee. Please reach out to leigh@leela.org for further information and bookings.

The program is rooted in our traditional Leela Facilitator Program. Leela work is grounded in the stance of being a True Friend, which means meeting ourselves and one another with a quiet mind, an open heart and mastering the skillful means for  therapeutic intervention. Based in a radical understanding of the structure of ego, and non-dual realization, our work is a transformative experience that combines the advanced use of hypnotic altered states, with insights from Neurolinguistics and our unique use of the Enneagram of Liberation.

The skills we offer are broad, and cover several different modalities, which together form a coherent, effective and powerful medium for therapeutic intervention. They include:

• therapeutic relationship and rapport
• the means to elicit and effective and detailed present condition and a powerful and clear desired condition
• the confidence, range of interventions and skills to attend to clients at all 3 levels of our therapeutic work: symptom removal, ego strengthening and ego transcendence
• the skills to help integrate insights and solidify them in long-lasting changes.

We will cover in depth all parts of the State of Oregon theoretical curriculum requirements. However, the strength and focus of our training is primarily experiential: role play, practice sessions, experiential exercises, hands-on assists and direct administration sessions form the most important part of this training.

In terms of non-pharmacological methods, we will make heavy use of hypnotherapeutic trance, which is at the core of our traditional work.

We will experience working directly with the plant medicine psilocybin as part of our 2 residential retreats.

We have also introduced a sacred use of other legal plant medicines into our latest cohort with great success.
